Alexxis and Peter tied the knot in the heart of Prospect, Pennsylvania, which was heartwarming. The day was filled with so much love and happiness, and as their wedding photographer, I had a blast capturing all of their special moments, from the getting-ready moments to the couple’s first dance. And the best part? Seeing how Alexxis and Peter savored every moment of their special day. They danced, laughed, and enjoyed celebrating in the company of their loved ones. In Alexxis’ own words, her advice to future brides is to do just that – enjoy every moment. And I agree with her 100%.
Alexxis And Peter’s Prospect Wedding
Dressing up for a big day ahead, I captured Alexxis getting ready and looking stunning in her dreamy wedding dress. Getting ready in the next room was Peter. He made a statement in his dashing suit and bow tie, and as I prepared my camera to capture the rest of their special day, I knew that the photos would turn out amazing!
When photographing Alexxis and Peter’s wedding, I was particularly struck by how seamlessly they fused Catholic and Greek Orthodox traditions. It was a beautiful ceremony that radiated joy and love. What tugged at my heartstrings was the personalized touches that truly highlighted the couple’s families and heritages. Alexxis’s bouquet charm, featuring a photo of her late grandfather, was a touching tribute. Seeing their parents’ wedding photos displayed at the wedding was a beautiful reminder of how much they adored them.
My favorite moment was watching the newlyweds walk out of the church, hand in hand as husband and wife. And guess what? It was one of Alexxis’s and Peter’s special moments of the day too! After the wedding, the couple posed effortlessly for their couples portraits, and the venue provided the perfect backdrop for creating magic, and magic we did create! The couple had that quintessential “we are married” glow, and they were complete romantics, kissing and embracing each other.
The bride and groom’s wedding party were absolute troopers and added so much energy and fun to the day. Peter and Alexxis mentioned that they had a blast taking photos at the White Barn, which was one of my favorite spots. And what’s a wedding without some sparklers? It was the perfect way to end an equally fantastic day, and it added that extra touch of magic to their wedding photos.
Celebrating The Newlyweds
It was a night to remember! The newlyweds took to the dance floor and swayed gracefully to the tune of their first dance. As the evening continued, I enjoyed photographing the sweet cake-cutting moment and capturing a love sweeter than the icing itself! Soon, everyone got on the dance floor. Looking back on one of her favorite moments, Alexxis said, “The last dance of the night – just Peter and I on the dancefloor, with guests forming a circle around us and singing along to the song.”
Vendor Appreciations From Yours Truly
Let me say I adore working with couples like Alexxis and Peter. They were all about teamwork when it came to planning their wedding, and vendor availability was the driving force throughout the process. But what made me love them was how much they appreciated all the hard work that went into bringing their special day to life.
When I asked them about their favorite part of planning, they couldn’t stop raving about their incredible vendors, myself included. Honestly, I was so humbled by their kind words. In their words, the vendors that helped in the overall experience:
- “You, of course. You made us feel comfortable taking photos, and we had a blast doing so. You helped me put on my veil, and fix my bustle. You went ABOVE and beyond for us.
- Jessica Transue, wedding planner. It was just incredible to work with her. She helped in every part of the planning process, offered us drinks throughout our wedding day, ensured the timeline ran smoothly, helped decorate everything, and packed everything up.
- Anthony Conti, videographer. His videos are amazing and very great to work with during the wedding day. You, Anthony, and Jessica were the dream team working so well together!
- Hearts and Flowers Design Studio. Brigette, the owner, was awesome to work with. She took the time to ensure she created exactly what I had in mind. We had many phone calls, and it all came up with picture-perfect centerpieces, head table display, bouquets, etc. She was so patient with me throughout the process!”
