Lauren And Matt | The Club At Nevillewood Wedding

One of my favorite moments during a wedding is watching the couple exchange vows. Heartwarming, inspirational, emotional, funny – I’ve heard couples exchange all kinds of vows. And I am not going to lie, I, too, get a little teary-eyed sometimes. This moment is a symbol of their never-ending love for one another and their commitment to stand by each other through thick and thin. And as their photographer, it is my honor to capture this momentous occasion and help preserve these memories for years to come. Lauren and Matt’s wedding at The Club At Nevillewood was filled with secret promises, endless love, and a little bit of quirkiness that portrayed their true personalities. I had a fantastic time shooting their wedding, and here’s the proof!

Meet Lauren And Matt

I always get so excited to hear my clients’ love stories, as each one is unique and special in its own way. Lauren and Matt have a modern-day love story that made me realize that you can find love with a single swipe! Lauren and Matt were both using the online dating app, Bumble, to find their ideal partner, and according to Matt, “the hive was buzzing” haha! Bumble surely helped Matt find his queen bee! Okay, no more puns. Matt and Lauren swiped right and started chatting. They quickly realized that they had a lot in common and hit it off straight away. The lovebirds have been together ever since.

Talking about the proposal, Lauren said, “We took a walk on the beach, and Matt walked far enough away from all the beachgoers to make it a private moment”. Matt planned a romantic beach proposal and for Lauren, saying yes was a no-brainer.

I also asked them about how they would describe themselves as a couple, and Lauren told me, “We are pretty laidback, relaxed, and like to have fun. Matt would say I am the complete opposite, but we complement each other well”. Matt and Lauren love to go to the driving range to practice golf and enjoy a couple of fresh, cold beers after dinner.

Lauren And Matt’s Wedding Day

Lauren and Matt’s wedding day was filled with excitement and joy. All of their friends and family were genuinely happy for the to-be Mr. and Mrs. Kiger. The wedding color theme was lavender, adding a touch of elegance to the already amazing The Club At Nevillewood. I began the day capturing Lauren and Matt’s getting ready moments. Lauren’s mom helped her into her wedding dress and made sure her daughter looked perfect as she got ready to walk down the aisle. Matt left a sweet love note for Lauren on her wedding dress that read, “I do today, and I do forever. Love, Matt”. Sounds like a scene from a romantic movie, right? I thought so too.

Lauren looked absolutely stunning, and her mom’s smile was so full of love and pride. With her hair tucked in a sleek bun and a gorgeous dress and chapel-length veil, Lauren looked like a vision. She had the brightest smile on her face as she did a first look with her bridesmaids, who were in awe as they saw Lauren’s final look. Meanwhile, Matt pinned his lavender boutonniere and looked dapper in his suit.

Lauren and Matt’s wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The church was well-lit, and the light streaming through the tinted windows created a magical atmosphere. Lauren walked down the aisle gracefully, and I could see the tears welling up in her eyes as Matt began to say his vows.

After sealing the deal with a sweet kiss, it was time for some group and couples portraits at The Club At Nevillewood. Lauren and her bridesmaids took the opportunity to have some fun and posed like Charlie’s Angels, but instead of guns, they had beautiful lavender flowers in their hands. Their quirky personalities were certainly the highlight of the day.

I also took some wonderful couples portraits of the newlyweds. Lauren and Matt looked so happy together as they posed for their photos. And since Matt and Lauren love golf, they even played a quick game together, giving me the chance to take some candid photos that were a reflection of what they share together. I loved how their focus remained on enjoying the moment and having fun on their big day.

Lauren and Matt had a three-tier wedding cake, which was decorated with a customized Mr. and Mrs. Kiger cake topper and flowers. The newlyweds took to the dance floor and swayed back and forth to the music. They locked eyes, kissed, and lovingly held each other, celebrating their new life together. The couple had a fun glow stick send-off, with everyone gathering on either side and waving their glow sticks as Matt dipped his wife to kiss her.
