Kathryn & Keith | Pittsburgh Wedding

My job as a wedding photographer is so special and I never tire of witnessing the incredible love between different couples. The stories they have are such hopeful reminders of lasting love in this world. Plus, my heart truly swells when the ones getting married are actually best friends – that’s when the moment becomes even more extraordinary. All those feelings were perfectly embodied recently at Kathryn and Keith’s Pittsburgh wedding. They were so clearly head-over-heels in love with each other and so happy to say I do. I loved documenting every single precious moment between them and to be a witness to their union on that beautiful day.

Kathryn And Keith’s Love Story

Kathryn and Keith were friends all throughout college, but, a year after graduating, Kathryn got a job in Pittsburgh – Keith’s hometown – and they reconnected and started dating! Cut to a romantic walk through Shadyside for the proposal! When I asked the couple about their proposal story, Kathryn shared that they were headed to lunch, walking down the street Keith used to live on, when Keith got down on one knee with an engagement ring – completely taking Kathryn by surprise. Little did she know that when they returned back to their apartment, both their families were there waiting with huge smiles and even bigger hugs to celebrate this occasion. Kathryn & Keith’s love story is what fairytales are made of, proving that fate works in mysterious ways.

Kathryn and Keith’s Pittsburgh Wedding

I started the day photographing Kathryn getting ready. She looked absolutely mesmerizing in her elegant dress and the long veil added a completely ethereal look to her overall radiance. During Kathryn’s first look with her father, I was lucky enough to capture their wide smiles and warm embrace. The love between them was beautiful.

The same could be said for when Keith came into view. That first-look moment between Keith and Kathryn really embodied the bond they share. Keith’s face radiated pure joy and excitement as he saw his bride for the first time – just glowing! Needless to say, it was an unforgettable moment to behold that I’m sure they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives.

Kathryn and Keith had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Mary of the Mount Church in Pittsburgh. Their closest family and friends were all together to celebrate the joyous event of the couple’s union. It was an absolutely magical moment filled with laughter and love as the couple said their vows to each other. Their smiles lit up the entire space.

I had a great time photographing the newlyweds for their couples portraits. The couple was glowing with love for each other, beaming happy smiles and kissing often. Everything from their natural poses to their delightful laughter made their portrait session so romantic. They barely needed any direction from me. Not only could you see their connection in each photo but also feelings of joy, contentment, and blissful celebration.

It was a lovely reception at the Renaissance Hotel in Pittsburgh. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the party. From the beautifully choreographed first dance between the couple to special dances with their parents, Kathryn and Keith truly had the perfect wedding reception. Everyone stayed until very late, reveling in Kathryn and Keith’s big day. I will never forget the couple’s infectious smiles that reached all corners of the room as they proudly celebrated being husband and wife.
