Jillian and Sam’s Pittsburgh wedding was a true testament to the beauty of blending tradition and individuality! As their wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of witnessing their love story come to life with every custom element they incorporated into their big day. From the beautiful traditional union to the bride’s edgy sneakers and the unique wedding cake, every detail was perfectly executed. But what truly made this wedding so exceptional was the couple themselves. Jillian and Sam’s love was evident in every smile, laugh, and romantic moment shared. Even the unexpected rain and freezing temperatures didn’t dampen their spirits. Looking back, they wouldn’t have changed a thing – and I couldn’t agree more!
Photographing Jillian And Sam’s Pittsburgh Wedding
Jillian and Sam, oh, what a couple! Their energy, smiles, and overall excitement made me feel even more blessed to be part of their special day. From the moment I arrived to capture their getting ready moments, I knew it was going to be an incredible day. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were bursting with excitement and fun. I captured their dapper poses and shared laughter as they celebrated the couple’s start of a beautiful journey.
Jillian looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress, all ready to walk down that aisle. I was fascinated by her gorgeous bridal bouquet – it was just the perfect assortment of florals, with colors that popped and caught the eye. But what made it even more special was the sentimental detail attached – Jillian’s Pap used to run a mattress factory, and sadly, he passed away in 2019. But her mom found a reel of mattress lining in her basement and used it to tie a bow on the bouquet and around vases on each table. How amazing is that!?
As Jillian and Sam exchanged their vows, I couldn’t help but feel like I was witnessing something truly incredible. Having captured every special moment of the heartwarming union, I had a great time photographing the couple with their wedding party. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were a hoot and added such great elements to the photos. Soon, it was time for the couples portraits, and let me tell you – it was like something straight out of a movie!
Jillian and Sam struck the most romantic poses against the picturesque rolling hills and expansive greenery. But the real magic happened during the golden hour, when the sky transformed into the most beautiful shades of pink and purple, adding a whole other layer of beauty. If that wasn’t enough, a rainbow made the perfect frame for the lovely couple as they smiled, danced, and kissed against the stunning backdrop!
It was enchanting to capture the newlyweds take to the dance floor for their first dance. As the night went on, the happy couple cut into a delicious-looking sweet treat and were surrounded by the incredible energy and love from their friends and family. But the moment that really stood out to me (and the bride!) was when “Love Story” came on, and the room erupted with excitement. With just a few light batons illuminating the darkness, the couple was in the center of all the energy, and it was fantastic to witness. Needless to say, I left that reception with a huge smile on my face and stunning photographs.
Reliving The Wedding Joy
It’s always great to see vendors who go above and beyond for their clients. For Jillian and Sam’s wedding, Mission BBQ catered, and they were incredible! Not only was the food delicious, but they were affordable and super easy to work with. And the best part? They even served and cleaned up!
But it wasn’t just the vendors who made their day special; Jillian loved the entire planning process. She especially enjoyed designing their wedding invitations and website, as well as chatting with all of their wonderful vendors. Her advice to future brides? Don’t stress about the details. All that matters is being surrounded by your loved ones and enjoying the day. Wise words, Jillian!
