Dana and Bryan married each other in an intimate ceremony, surrounded by only a dozen of their closest people. Each time I shoot an intimate wedding, I always get a reminder of what weddings are truly about: The celebration of love. The couple, who got engaged in April 2022, and chose Twelve Oaks Mansion as the venue for their September 2022 wedding, did a fantastic job picking a location for their intimate wedding. The entire day was filled with love and laughter, and it was truly heartwarming to see Dana and Bryan genuinely enjoy their special day with their loved ones as they said I do.
Dana And Bryan’s Twelve Oaks Mansion Wedding
Twelve Oaks Mansion is a stunning wedding venue that turned out to be the perfect setting for Dana and Bryan’s intimate wedding. The bride looked like a vision in her wedding dress, and the groom looked so handsome in his wedding attire. I could tell that both of them were so excited about this day, and I really enjoyed seeing them feeling so giddy. Their wedding party was really amazing too! So naturally, to let the fun begin, I had to take some photos of Dana and Bryan with their wedding party.
Dana and Bryan’s wedding was everything they had hoped for. The venue’s picturesque grounds provided the perfect backdrops for their wedding photos. The couple had decided not to do a first look as it made seeing each other at the altar even more exciting. And it indeed was very special. Dana walking down the aisle was a sight to behold, and I took some incredibly sweet photos of Bryan as he got emotional after seeing his bride-to-be for the first time. The ceremony went off without a hitch and the couple exchanged vows (which they wrote on their own!), and then sealed it with a kiss. There was also a certain surprise guest that made an appearance during the ceremony, but more on that later.
Dana and Bryan were a dream to photograph. The love between them was so evident, and their energy was contagious. The newlyweds were so natural in front of the camera, and as they posed, danced, and kissed, I could see that this was exactly what they wanted their wedding day to be like. They were carefree and just focused on enjoying the moment, taking the time to realize that they were finally married. The golden hour was perfect for some romantic couples portraits. This would also be a good time to mention that I genuinely enjoy this time that I get with my couples alone. And since it also gives them the chance to just focus on each other, it’s also the best time to capture their natural chemistry.
The reception was just as fantastic, with lots of dancing and celebrating. Even with only a dozen people around, the party was as lively as any other reception party! From the moment Dana and Bryan said “I do” to the end of the night, it was clear that this was a day they would always remember. Later, they even shared a few special moments from their big day with me.
Remembering The Wedding Day
Talking about the driving force behind their wedding, Dana and Bryan shared, “Our driving force was timing. We got engaged in April of 2022 and didn’t want to wait forever, so we found a venue that had September 2022 available, and we took it!”
Sharing their favorite part of planning the wedding, the couple said, “The best part of wedding planning is the vision. When you both have great ideas and work together to make them come true. That’s the best feeling!”
Remembering the one moment or memory from the day that stood out the most, the couple said, “It was during our ceremony. Right before we kissed as husband and wife, a butterfly flew through and landed on a bouquet, and that was a big awwww moment for everyone there.”
Lastly, when I asked Dana for any advice for future brides, she sweetly mentioned, “Don’t sweat the small stuff! The day moves so quickly; try to take it all in and enjoy it!”
